Play up pompey, no-one want to buy them
Portsmouth owner Sacha Gaydamak has received no offers for the club, says executive chairman Peter Storrie. Pompey have been repeatedly linked to consortiums apparently wanting to buy the club that Gaydamak bought in 2006.
But Storrie said: "If people are serious about wanting to take over the club then the first thing they need to do is make an offer. That hasn't happened and we're getting fairly bored of all the stories about our finances and ownership."
The contracts of 15 Portsmouth players, including skipper Sol Campbell, are due to expire at the end of the season, but Storrie maintained it would be left to manager Tony Adams to decide who stays or goes. Campbell's former Arsenal and England team-mate Adams added: "In Sol's case, he'll make his own decision - and whatever it is, that's all right with me. He's his own man. He will do what he wants to do and I wouldn't insult Sol by pushing him in either direction.
Bigtips.co.uk would like to think that Jermain Defoe continues to knock in the goals to earn our punters some money, but we aren't sure about the quality of Tony Adams in change, watch this space...
