Saturday Night's not alright for fighting
Racing's top brass are "concerned" at the spate of punch-ups to have hit British racecourses this summer.
Bigtips.co.uk thinks the spate may be down to people not following our tips, remember - winning tips make you happy and much less likely to fight!
Trouble broke out at Sandown's Coral-Eclipse card at the beginning of the month, while there was also a fight at Newmarket's July fixture, and scuffles at Newbury and Haydock this weekend.
"We are certainly concerned that there has been an increase in incidents of trouble over the past few weeks," the British Horseracing Authority's Paul Struthers said yesterday.
"We are hoping it is a case of 'London bus syndrome' - an isolated spate of incidents involving a tiny minority of racegoers rather than a trend.
"And it should be remembered that, considering the number of people who go racing throughout the year, cases involving trouble are remarkably few
"We will continue to monitor the situation during the coming weeks, and, if a pattern does emerge, we will act."
