BigTips.co.uk World Cup betting advice Part One
All of our Silver, Gold and World Cup subscribers received analysis of our antepost bets this summer. The theory behind our first bet was correct with some of our comments spookily accurate, however ultimately the chosen bet failed:
Group A Winner
The favourites to win Group A are France. They arrive in South Africa after struggling through qualifying, player scandals and with French public opinion at an all time low. We can see their poor form continuing in South Africa and they may also find that refereeing decisions go against them at crucial times. Speaking of referees, South Africa may well be looked on favourably as host country, though they could need all the help they can get!
France are even money to win Group A, not a price that interests us, the 7/1 on them finishing bottom is more appealing. The price that catches our eye is the 10/3 on offer for Mexico to top the group. They have some exciting young players who should prove too much for both France and South Africa. On the flipside they are naïve at times but new Man Utd signing Javier Hernandez should score the goals to put Mexico into contention. The group decider may well come down to the last game between Mexico and Uruguay and we can see Mexico just sneaking it.
The 10/3 available looks a good bet and may not be around much longer if the Mexicans get a positive result against Italy tonight (kick-off 6:15pm).
Recommendation:
Mexico to win Group A – 3pts @ 10/3 with Betfred
